Our facility runs on a cost recovery model. The collected fees are used to pay for the maintenance of the equipment, service contracts, supplies, necessary upgrades and the salary of the managers.

Acknowledgments
The facility is supported by the McGill Faculty of Medicine and the Canada Foundation for Innovation through IOF grants. In addition, the facility's equipment is purchased using funds awarded through CFI competitions. We are periodically asked by funding agencies and Faculty to cite publications reporting data generated in our facility. In order to show that the facility has an important impact on your research programs, we ask you to acknowledge our contribution in your publications. We also ask you to notify us when you do this so that we can document these publications in our grant applications. The FCCF staff salaries are 100% funded by user fees and grants.

Here's a suggested acknowledgment:
We would like to thank the Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Facility for assistance with the flow cytometry experiments; the facility's infrastructure is supported by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI)
